Shienryu is another 2D shoot’em-up classic Japanese import made available in Europe by MonkeyPaw Games for the first time on the European Playstation Network Store (PSN). The game is simple for anyone to play and with a cooperative two player mode; you and a friend can both join in with the action and destroy anything that even slightly moves.
However, Shienryu does offer some challenges as you must reach the end with only a few lives, although pick-ups will help you along the way by giving you lives, increased ammunition, faster shooting or being able to shoot lighting!
At the end of the game you can record your score on a local leaderboard to see all your scores. Shienryu can be played on both PS3 and PSP.
Although it isn’t the number 1 shoot’em-up around, it is worth a go for anyone looking for a bit of cooperative madness, and is well worth every penny of the price- £3.99.
