Puzzle Quest – Warlords Mobile Game

Your goal is to create a hero and to lead him or her through various adventures to save the world!
The game is based around a system of puzzles where you have to combat your enemy by attacking, collecting Mana and casting spells.

Mana is used to create different spells to defeat your enemy.

As you progress through the game you can improve the skills of your hero, learn new spells and attune mystical runes to your weapon.

Campaign Mode

You start by choosing your hero from 8 characters from 4 different classes – a druid, knight, warrior or wizard. Although the gender or the name of your hero will have no effect on the gameplay, the characters class determines the starting skill, the class spells and the cost of the improving skills during level up.

Throughout the game you will be sent on different quests which will involve hunting down enemies or being sent to investigate areas, each quest resulting in a battle on the puzzle board.

Occasionally when on a quest a wandering monster may appear on the road. This is highlighted by a red skull on your map. When confronted with the monster it will not allow you to progress on your quest until defeated. You defeat the monster by….. you guessed it, returning to battle on the puzzle board!

When on the puzzle board your goal is to defeat your enemy by reducing its points to 0. You can do this by doing several things.

You can line up 3 or more identical gems in a row to delete them, but if you fail to create 3 in a row you will miss a turn and retain damage. 4 or more gems in a row will give you an extra turn. The coloured gems add more power to your Mana pool.

If you create a chain of 3 or more in a row you can create a wild card. A wild card can be used as any coloured gem and multiply the amount of Mana gained but cannot be used on skulls, coins or stars.

If you can match 3 or more skulls in a row you can do some serious damage to your enemy. As you become more powerful throughout the game, the more damage you can do.

If you can collect coins this will give you cash that you can later spend in your adventure to improve your hero and become stronger.

Purple stars give you experience points. Experience points help your hero gain levels and become even more powerful.

You also have an assortment of spells that you can use during combat. Spells do various things from reducing your enemies hit points to changing the colour of the gems on the board.

If you have met an enemy a number of times an option will appear to learn a spell. If you defeat the enemy in this mode you can learn a new spell from them. To learn a spell you have to battle the enemy on the board. Instead, this time your goal is to fill all your Mana before your enemy.

While in a quest you may be presented with a rune that you can attune with your weapon. You do this by again returning to the puzzle board although this time the aim is to line up the potion bottles until the meter at the top is filled.

As in most games the further on you progress through the game the stronger your enemies become.

Quickplay

The quick play option is where you have the chance to battle with old enemies that you have met on your quests so far. You cannot use this option until you have battled in Campaign Mode.

Overall this is a game for puzzle lovers everywhere based on adventure and fantasy which soon becomes addictive and impossible to put down. It’s helpful hints throughout the games makes this easy to play for all ages.
