Pearl Harbor Trilogy – 1941: Red Sun Rising is the first title in a trilogy of air-combat action games for the Wii. The seven-pointed, star-shaped city of Purgatory dominates the center of the valley, its towering walls looming over the gloomy floor of the jungle. The River Styx bisects both the valley and the city itself, where waterfalls plummet from the massive walls and spill into the river below.

Territory control, an important and deep feature of the game, will sport two main factions — the forces of heaven and hell – where players will engage in grand battles to vie for control of a territory and influence on behalf of their side of the conflict. Tehra is a hybrid creature who is part human and part devil, a female warrior who must take on the monstrous Orcs, the undead and a horde of beasts, trying to confront Bacdar, the King of Demons.

Tehra: Dark Warrior is a  classic action hack’n’slash and adventure based in a fantasy world. Our heroine, Tehra will progress through the game increasing her combat skills, magical power and become brutally evil with extraordinary power.

Sistar is a world inhabited by three races: Humans, Demons and Dragons. The Humans and Demons, antagonistic races by nature, fought for control of the territory, enslaving the dragon race because of its great destructive power in battle. Finally realizing that the fight would never end, the factions of both opposing sides signed the Tarkhubal Treaty, according to which the territory would be divided into six kingdoms: three would be bestowed on the three human kings and the other three on the Devil Lords of the war. To watch over the implementation of this Treaty agreed by opposing sides, a hybrid creature, human and devil, was created: Tehra, whose mission is maintaining peace in Sistar. Her directive is straightforward, if a king breaks the Treaty, he will be eliminated.

Tehra is the only hybrid both human and devil in the game, and was created specifically to protect the fulfillment of the Treaty of Tarkhubal. She may change her physical appearance to take a more human or devil aspect although in order to do this, she needs some demon blood. When in demon mode, her attacks are stronger and more deadly, although she cannot keep this momentum for long.

The PSP version of the game includes several improvements that really convert this game into one of the most interesting titles you could find at any Playstation Store. There are new levels; more detailed scenarios; new movements and attack combos; new monsters; and better playability.

Electricity: Transform demon blood into electricity, creating a lighting ray that damages the enemies.

Shockwave: Creates a powerful shockwave that can damage all the enemies on the screen.

Combustion: Creates an explosion around the player, causing damage to all the enemies near the player.
Some creatures are not damaged by this spell.

Fireballs: Results in the creation of one or various fire spheres, than cause serious damage to all the enemies currently on the screen. The numbers of spheres may change.

Power Attack: Powerful attack that hits multiple enemies in front of Tehra.

Runes of Magic Chapter III

Runes of Magic fans can now set foot in the first region of the new continent of Zandorya with its imposing cities and vast estates to discover a large array of new game content. The hotly contested Kingdom of Dalanis can be reached by high-level online adventurers after completing a series of quests in the Aotulia Volcano region.

Yes, the gates to the third chapter of Runes of Magic have been opened. With the successful launch of update 3.0.0, ‘The King’s Call’, Frogster has just launched the first phase of the extensive expansion ‘The Elder Kingdoms’.

As Chapter III opens, players can expect new rewards including precious armor that can now be endowed with individual attributes by swapping gold and ‘Ancient Mementos’ for special items.

The developers have taken on board feedback via the community and have included in this latest release help for the newcomers to the game, who are able to select from various skill levels when entering the dungeons ‘Hall of Survivors’ and ‘Heart of the Ocean’.

Cautious players can now also save their game progress in specific instances which means that when loading a saved game status, they no longer need to tackle bosses that they have already defeated.

This first phase of Chapter III also introduces an expanded in-game Monster Card System allowing players to gain valuable cards that are dropped  by NPC opponents once they are defeated. The monster cards now have additional attribute points to improve their character’s stats.

Update 3.0.0 also contains the announced three new guild drill grounds, six new guild quests and stone fortifications to expand the guild castles. Furthermore, elite skills have been adjusted in order to optimize the game balance.

As with all Runes of Magic expansions, the update is free and will install automatically when the game is started. Frogster has announced that it would start a ten week training course for gamers wanting to achieve quick progress when the Runes of Magic Chapter III is released in full.

The training started last weekend and Expedition 60 is aimed at helping players achieve level progress and reach the high-level regions of the current game in preparation for the upcoming expansion, ‘The Elder Kingdoms’.

In the first stage of Expedition 60, Frogster will provide a 50% XP Bonus this weekend. As the weeks progress, there will be more bonus activities to intensify the training. As part of the program, Frogster will also be staging extensive in-game events and contests leading up the release of ‘The Elder Kingdoms’.

As previously announced, the first stage of Runes of Magic Chapter III  – The Elder Kingdoms will contain the first region of the new continent Zandorya with the kingdom Dalanis and lots of new content, an expanded in-game monster card system, three new guild drill grounds, six new guild quests, a stone wall upgrade for guild castles and much more to be introduced this week.

Blacklight Tango Down is a fully featured Unreal Engine 3.0-powered game set to release this summer exclusively through Xbox LIVE® Arcade, PlayStation®Store, and through digital distribution channels on PC, making it one of the most advanced games ever released solely through downloadable channels.

WHAT IS BLACKLIGHT?
Blacklight: Tango Down is set in the near future and revolves around a special operations military group called “Blacklight.” Blacklight is the SECDEF’s (Secretary of Defense’s) personal direct action team comprised entirely of “Tier One Assets.”  These elite soldiers are extraordinary operators recruited from all branches of special operations, including Combat Applications Group (Delta), SF, DEVGRU (SEAL), RANGER, and CIA MSP.  All combatants are hand-selected and trained specifically to be equipped to deal with fast-moving, ambiguous and unstructured situations.  This is the player’s role in the game.

The technological overbuild has created a bleak environment which has transformed once vibrant and familiar cityscapes into dark and endless virtual billboards and danger zones.  An ongoing viral epidemic ravages society and the military’s drive to control and use the virus as a weapon has only created more devastating strains.  Civilians and governments struggle through ongoing unrest.  Order can only be imposed through force and fear.
The military’s attempts to weaponise the virus has lead to what some call “Q-Fever” or SIV (Sentient Insanity Virus) and the people it infects are known as SIVs.  The virus destroys a person’s humanity, transforming them into frightening creatures that are less capable of utilizing tools but are far more aggressive and impervious to pain.

Independent developer and publisher, Illfonic, debuted the first-person arena shooter at GDC 2010 last week. The fast, fun addictive gameplay impressed editors and fellow video game designers. Nexuiz was redesigned and ported over on PS3 in two and a half months with a six person team using the Quake engine.

Nexuiz is an Arena First Person shooter coming soon to consoles. It is fast paced with extremely competitive game play.
