I don’t know for sure, but this may be the longest wait for a sequel in gaming history. A Boy and His Blob, the notoriously difficult 1989 NES platformer is getting a Wii sequel later this year.

Just like in the original, the player will control a boy who assists his friend – a blob from outer space – in saving his home planet. The blob can be fed jelly beans to transform him into useful tools to help them along the way.

Looks a little like the recently released Live Arcade game ‘The Maw’ to me, but then I didn’t play the original. Mainly because I was 5 at the time.
